Erin (Ropes) Mechell first began capturing photos in elementary school when she was given a Kodak Star 110 film camera, and hasn’t looked back since. Now claiming over ten years of professional photography under her belt, she has a B.A. in Studio Art from Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, MN and an A.A.S in Graphic Design from The Art Institutes International Minnesota in Minneapolis, MN.
Though her equipment has changed throughout the years, Erin’s vision has not. She has traveled to 19 different countries and territories spanning the globe in search of amazing cultures, breath-taking scenery and unique experiences. Her goal is to capture these moments and use them to communicate to others about bio-and-cultural diversity through a personal, visual experience. Education, curiosity and awareness are integral to our understanding of this planet, and Erin is working as the official photojournalist for the cause!
